SPORTLINE AMERICA – Sports Forecast

“La Polla Mundialista” was a project developed by CometBits on the Facebook platform for the 2010 World Cup.

This project was created by the name of “La Polla Mundialista” and was successful in 2010. It was the first application that was developed for a global forecast.

After a week of its release, it received more than 50,000 users around Latin America. This project did not have any investment in advertising, only social propagation strategies. That means, we didn’t use any money to advertise the project, the strategy of social propagation refers to the popularity of the product through social networks. On Facebook every time a user used the application and obtained its global forecast, this was published in the wall of the user on Facebook, allowing their friends and supporters see this application and have the curiosity to go and see what it is.

For this year 2011, CometBits exported this product (Sports Predictions) and sold it to SPORTLINE AMERICA in Panama, Venezuela and Colombia to use as a prognostic in the “Copa America”.

The idea is the same as “La Polla mundialista”. Users select the teams that they thought would reach the round of 16, quarterfinals, semifinals, final, and finally the team that would win the Copa America.
